Through the coaching arch you will find the beautiful and secluded ‘secret’ garden bounded by the majestic River Wye flowing thirty feet below. Guests are welcome to enjoy the tranquillity and privacy of the garden throughout the seasons. Spring bulbs, colourful summer and autumn borders, a productive kitchen garden , seats in sun and shade, and distant views of the hills above Clyro make this a perfect place to relax over breakfast, read a book, plan your day or simply sit and appreciate the special atmosphere.
The house and garden contain many original paintings, drawings and sculptures. A gallery will open in the stable block in 2008 to show painting exhibitions and installations of wood sculpture are regularly on display in the garden.
